Are pavers stronger than concrete?
Yes. Compressive strength approaches 8,000 psi for pavers and 3000 psi for a typical concrete driveway.

Can pavers go over existing surfaces even if cracked?
In many cases you can easily hide unsightly cracks and go on top with pavers (including pool decks).

What if one paver is damaged?
Pavers that become damaged can easily be removed and changed out.

Do pavers cost more than concrete or stamped concrete?
Pavers cost a little more than concrete and are comparable with stamped concrete overlays. The great advantage is the added value to your house that concrete does not give.

How do pavers compare to stamped concrete overlays?
Pavers can go over unsightly or cracked surface areas in most cases. They are easily repaired if damaged. Overlays must have a good surface and if cracks develop repairs could be quite costly.

How are pavers installed?
Pavers are placed on a compacted recycled concrete or similar base along with sand. The edges are held with concrete restraint.

Do pavers fade?
Some suppliers use color-through pavers while others use a color coated cement paver. We only use color-through pavers. Color enhancements can be achieved by using a sealer which will also help in stain resistance and cleaning.

How long does it take to install?
Typical house installations up to 1500sf take about 1-2 days.
